TAILOR SURRENDERS SHEARS TO HARE

This image occurs in the lower margin of the first Sunday of Lent, and the tailor is showing an appropriate spirit of abstinence for Lent. The quote from Pliny, around the circumference of the plate, is a reminder of the degree of forbearance being exercised by the tailor.
